The Ontario Instant Discounts program, managed by Save on Energy, provides point-of-sale rebates for energy-efficient LED lighting. Business owners in Mississauga and the GTA can receive these discounts immediately at the time of purchase from participating distributors like New Future Electric, with no paperwork or waiting for mail-in rebates.

Eligible participants include commercial, industrial, agricultural, and multi-unit residential buildings located in Ontario. To qualify, the facility must be an existing building undergoing a lighting retrofit. Newly constructed facilities are generally not eligible for the instant discount pathway.

Qualifying products include DLC-listed LED high bay fixtures, LED T8/T5 tube replacements (Types A, B, and C), integral LED troffers, and lighting controls such as occupancy sensors. All products must meet IESO efficiency standards to receive the upfront discount at New Future Electric.

Savings vary by product: high bay fixtures can receive discounts up to $140 per unit, while LED linear ambient fixtures may qualify for up to $18 per unit. Small businesses may also be eligible for up to $3,000 in additional incentives through specific Save on Energy programs for equipment and installation.

No application is required for the Instant Discount program. Unlike the Retrofit program, the discount is applied directly at the point of sale. You simply provide the installation address and business name at checkout to New Future Electric to receive the reduced pricing instantly.
